گیسوئے تابدار کو اور بھی تابدار کر
ہوش و خرد شکار کر، قلب و نظر شکار کر
Make the radiant hair more radiant
hunt the mind, hunt the heart and eyes
عشق بھی ہو ہجاب میں، حسن بھی ہو حجاب میں
یا تو خود آشکار ہو یا مجھے آشکار کر
Our love is in veil, beauty is too
Either reveal yourself or reveal me
تو ہے محیطِ بے کراں، میں ذرا سی آبجو
یا مجھے ہم کنار کر یا مجھے بے کنار کر
You are an endless ocean while I am just a small stream
Either make me your equal or make me endless
میں ہو صدف تو تیرے ہات میرے گُہر کی آبرو
میں ہوں خزف تو مجھے گوہرِ شاہوار کر
If I am a previous pearl then my glow is in your hand
But if I am a brick, then give me the glow of a diamond
نغمئہ نو بہار اگر میرے نصیب میں نہ ہو
اس دمِ نیم کو طائرکِ بہار کر
If song of the new spring is not in my fate
Make this half joyed breath a spring bird
باغِ بہشت سے مجھے حکمِ صفر دیا تھا کیوں
کارِ جہاں دراز ہے، اب میرا انتظار کر
Why did you gave me the order to take a journey from the paradise's garden
The world's business is long so wait for me now
روزِ حساب جب میرا پیش ہو دفترِ عمل
آپ بھی شرمسار ہو مجھ کو بھی شرمسار کر
On the day of judgment, when my deeds are presented
They will shame you so as me

Me ho khazaf to tu muje gohar e shahkar kar
Naghma e nou bahar agar mere naseeb me na ho
Is dam e neem souz ko tareek e bahar kar
bagh e bahesht se muje hukam e safar diya ta Q
Kar e Jahan daraz ha ab mera intezaar kar
Roz e hisaab jab mera pesh ho daftar e amal
Ap bhi sharamsar ho muj ko bhi sharamsar kar
