ترے عشق کی انتہا چاہتا ہوں
میری سادگی دیکھ کیا چاہتا ہوں
Your extreme love I want
look at my innocence what I want!
ستم ہو کہ ہو وعدہ بے حجابی
کوئی بات صبر آزما چاہتا ہوں
Persecution it may be if a promise without veil
I want to become patient with something
یہ جنت مبارک رہے زاہدوں کو
کہ میں آپ کا سامنا چاہتا ہوں
Let your worshipers be blessed with paradise
I only aim to face you
ذرا سا تو دل ہو مگر شوخ اتنا
وہی "لن ترانی" پھر سنا چاہتا ہوں
A little heart but so much joy
I want to hear the same "Lan Tarani" again
"Lan Tarani" were the words spoke by Allah to the Prophet Musa(AS), when he desired to see Allah.
کوئی دم کا مہمان ہوں اے اہلِ محفل
چراغ صبح ہوں بجھا چاہتا ہوں
I am just guest of a moment, o gathered people
I am just a morning lamp, need to be turned off
بری بزم میں راز کی بات کہہ دی
بڑا بے ادب ہوں سزا چاہتا ہوں

Sitam hu ke ho wada be hijabi
koi baat sabar azma chahta hu
Ye Janat mubarak rahe zahido ko
ke me ap ka samna chahta hu
zara dil ho magar shokh itna
wahi "lan tarani" phir chahta hu
Koi dam ka mehman hu ay ahil-e-mehfil
chiragh-e-subh hu bhuja chahta hu
Bari bazam me raaz ki baat keh di
bara be adab hu saza chahta hu
English Translation
